Many people get tunnel vision while in arenas. This can be detrimental to the outcome of the match. Do not just stand still while you are getting beat on. Bad players do not know how to use Battle of the Immortals Gold and terrain while still being able to heal and DPS. Learn how to heal and DPS while still being. The average person sucks at arenas because they are not good at teamwork and lack communication.
I personally think that success hinges on communication above everything else. Being able to narrate everything you do from your point of view effectively wins or loses games. For instance, you do not want to blind someone, and then a half second later your partner breaks it or overlaps with his own CC. You need to let your partner know who is cyclone, bubbled, cloaked, or ice blocked so you will not death coil, sheep, or any other means of CC on the wrong target. Something that I find annoying is using Heroism when a teammate is cyclone.
Of course, arenas are dynamic and constantly changing. Bad players are usually slow to react. Do not sit in a kidney shot and use your trinket with 1 second left. The average person sucks at arenas because of the usual stereotypes. Bad players keyboard turn, S key, and click. I do not think this needs an explanation on why this makes you bad. I am sure I missed much obvious reason why the average person sucks, so list them and let us help bad people get better.
