In Atlantica online, you can begin a character as a Scout and then, once you get your wings as a Daeva at Level 10, you can transform him into a Ranger. A Ranger is a Daeva with great speed, stealth, stamina, and utter mastery of the Bow & Arrow. They can also wield an exceptionally good sword or dagger for close combat. Rangers are also masters of setting traps. But it must be kept in mind that their highly specialized equipment does make them one of the most expensive Atlantica online Gold to play. Again, the Ranger must first and foremost use evasiveness to avoid damage to himself. Just a few blows to him and he is terribly weakened. So within groups, Rangers are best for killing off opponents from a distance while their allies such as Gladiators and Templars tank them. But Rangers are also highly useful to groups by using specialty arrows such as the Sleep Arrow, or their specialized enmity-reduction capabilities with skills such as the Calming Whisper. Like their Assassin counterparts, who also start as Scouts, Rangers want to remain as free to move as possible and thus they wear leather armor--which is not the strongest defense against blows. Rangers of course make up for this through their stealthy speed and ability to fight from long distances because of their Bow mastery. But Rangers also use their athleticism to quickly make mincemeat out of enemies in melee fighting.
